Community GardenThe Winthrop Community Garden was a student-led project that asked for the administration to involve student in urban gardening and food issues. Located in Winthrop St, right off Craigs St, the urban garden was a project that grew momentum out of Sustainable Earth and Emerging Leaders. With the help of the neighborhood and environmental leaders on campus, we have been able to plan the garden from the start. We built raised beds, designed the layout, planted an array of crops, and have taken care of its upkeep. Currently, the garden is dashing with grown herbs and plants and keeps us occupied in many Garden Workdays
